STATE CHAMPIONS! They did it! (VIDEOS*)

The B-B-E Jaguars 16-U Babe Ruth baseball team has earned a state title! With game schedules moved around today due to the threat of severe thunderstorms, the state title game was moved up by 2 1/2 hours today at Russ Jacobson Field in New York Mills. Earlier today, the Jaguars prevailed 5-3 against Pine River-Backus/Menahga in the state semifinals. In the other semifinal, Sebeka defeated Paynesville.

In today's state title game, the Jaguars scored 2 runs in the top of the 3rd inning and rode an outstanding pitching performance by starter Lance Radermacher, who pitched 6 innings and earned the win. Baron Breitbach took the mound in the bottom of the 7th inning as closer.

State championship final score: B-B-E 6, Sebeka 0. Video is uploading.
