Today is game day: parents and seniors night (UPDATES, VIDEO)
The B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team hosts Hancock tonight in a non-conference match. This is also Parents and Seniors night for the team. That's all hard to believe, as it feels like the season just started.
And a community announcement:
The Belgrade Fire Department will host an Open House to help kick off Fire Prevention Week, which is October 5-11. They invite the public to this event on Saturday, October 4 from 10 to 12 p.m. noon. The address is 120 Walker Street, which is adjacent to the Belgrade Steel Tank campus.
Also on Saturday: the Belgrade VFW will hold a steak and pork chop fry fundraiser from 5 to 7:30 p.m. plus a meat raffle at the same time. At 7 p.m., Beaches Entertainment will provide karaoke and music for guests to the VFW.
Let's go back a week to see the National Anthem played before the Sauk Centre match:
Match updates to follow here. The Hancock Owls are 9-11 overall and ranked No. 13 in Section 6A, which has 21 teams. In the Little Eight Conference, Hancock holds a 3-3 record, which puts them in fifth place.
Game one final score: B-B-E 25, Hancock 21.
