Lady Jaguars Basketball Picks Up 55-53 Win Over 12-2 Osakis Silversteaks Team

The Lady Jaguars started their week off the right way, with a come-from-behind win over the 12-2 Osakis Silverstreaks on the homecourt at the elementary school. After falling behind 23-18 in the final three minutes of the first half, the Lady Jaguars went on a scoring rampage before halftime with a 10-0 run that gave them a lead they would not give up the rest of the game. The final margin was the closest the Silverstreaks would get after the Lady Jaguars built as much as a 12-point lead in the second half.

The week won't get any easier, as the Lady Jaguars prepare to host first-place Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (5-1 CMC) tomorrow night in Central Minnesota Conference action. The stakes are high, as they hope to continue their winning ways and build on their 5-2 record since mid-December. They are 6-6 overall and 3-3 in the CMC (tied for 4th with Pierz).

Boys Basketball games tonight involving CMC teams:
@ Eden Valley-Watkins 47 (8-2), Melrose 57 (11-2)
*A game between teams leading the Central Minnesota Conference (EV-W) and the West Central North Conference (Melrose)
@ Pierz 73 (11-2), Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 56 (2-11)
