B-B-E Bombers Legion Team Completes Their Season at Districts -- Suffers Heartbreaking Loss to Paynesville 12-8 Today

This afternoon the Bombers Legion baseball team lost 12-8 in regular innings in heartbreaking fashion to Paynesville in the Division II, District 6 tournament. Both teams were fighting to get out of the loser's bracket and into Saturday's championship round. B-B-E had built a 7-3 lead in the sixth inning, but fell apart after that. They had a wonderful season, nonetheless, and all of our communities should be proud of the hard work these young men have put into their game to represent B-B-E. Their regular season record was 6-4. They proceeded to go 3-2 in the District 6 playoffs, for an overall final record of 9-6.

Tomorrow and Sunday the area can enjoy numerous baseball games at the Lake Henry diamond, as they host the Region 15C tournament. The Elrosa Saints take on host Lake Henry at 1:00 on Saturday.
