Jaguars Football Takes it on the Chin at Rockford, Shutout 21-0

The Jaguars football team played flat offensively all night at Rockford, as the Rockets returned the favor from 2006 with a 21-0 drubbing over our Blue & Silver. (Last year the Jaguars won 27-0 in the second game of the season.)

Tonight the Jaguars had a fairly solid second half defensively, holding the Rockets to one score. Each half saw the Jaguars make a sturdy goal-line stand where they kept the Rockets from the endzone.

Tomorrow morning I'll be making the trip to Howard Lake for the annual Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Volleyball Tournament. The Jaguars (2-0) will face Norwood-Young America (1-2) in the first pool match at 9:00.

Around the CMC in football tonight...it was a wild night in the conference!
At Maple Lake 48, Kimball 26
At Holdingford 6, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 41 (Ouch!)
At Eden Valley-Watkins 18, Pierz 7 (First CMC loss for Pierz since 2004)
