Jaguars Baseball Wins at Holdingford 13-5, Jaguars Fastpitch Splits Series with Holdingford, 5-3 Loss & 8-4 Win

The baseball team improved to 8-2 on the season, their best start to a season since 1995, when they ended the regular season 15-3 overall. They are now 7-2 in the CMC and host Rockford in Elrosa at 5:00.

The Jaguars baseball team's 7-2 CMC record puts them in a first-place tie with Pierz, just over halfways through the league schedule.

The fastpitch team is 8-5 overall and 8-4 in the CMC. They host Sauk Centre (6-6) tomorrow at 4:30.

The Jaguars fastpitch team was seeded #3 last night in the Sub-Section 5A-South seeding meeting. They will host Holdingford in the sub-section quarterfinals on Friday, May 16. More to follow over the weekend on that.

At the Dick Sieben Invite in Melrose tonight, the Jaguars boys track and field 400-meter relay team broke the school record, while pulling off a first place finish in that event. The school record was 46.19 seconds, set by the same team a couple weeks ago. I don't have an exact time of what their new record is, but it is in the 45-second range. Thanks to Jim Derichs for this update, who I talked to in Elrosa at the baseball game on Friday night.
