A Few More Highlights on the Windom Area Eagles volleyball team
As a former trumpet player in the B-B-E pep band, I'm a little biased to that section of the band!...here's today's version of the B-B-E Pep Band trumpet section, playing during yesterday's state volleyball match at the XCel Energy Center.
First I want to point out once again, make sure to follow the live coverage of the Jaguars via Glenwood's Magic 107 radio station if you can't attend the match in person!

You can also go to the following link in a web browser and it should open up Windows Media Player on your computer, then connecting to Glenwood's radio station.

...Statistical highlights on the Eagles volleyball team. Their star player is senior setter/hitter Megan Ysker. She is listed at 5'11" which is huge in terms of height of a team's setter, especially in Class A. She's served up 103 aces this year, and in the hitting department she's dropped 373 ace attacks in 698 attack attempts. She also leads the Eagles with 81 ace blocks. *These are stats totaled through the regular season, and the section tournament leading up to "state".
Next on the kill chart for the Eagles is Megan's 10th-grade sister, Courtney, who stands at 5'7" from the outside hitter position. She had 218 kills on 493 atttack attempts. She's 2nd in the serving department with 91 aces.
Third on the kill chart for Windom 6'0" junior middle hitter MaKenzie Lovell. She has 53 ace serves, 34 ace blocks, and 149 kills on 360 attacks.
Fourth on the kill chart for Windom is a non-starter, Alicia Norby, who is a senior 5'10" middle hitter. She has 129 kills on 351 attacks.
Fifth on the kill chart for Windom is senior outside hitter Abby Lund (5'8"). She has 112 kills on 434 attacks.
Any team having five hitters with over 100 kills is without a doubt a loaded team. For comparison purposes, the Jaguars have four players with over 100 kills, so we do not take a back seat to other teams either in the offense department.
