Elrosa Saints tagged with first loss in Region 15C action, 8-1 loss to St.Martin - Set for Norway Lake-Sunburg at High Noon on Sunday in Spring Hill

The Elrosa Saints were roughed up in the literal sense by a strong-hitting St.Martin team today, falling 8-1 to a Martins team that evened their overall record at 13-13 with the win.

The game had a short rain delay, and the precipitation followed off-and-on throughout the remainder of the afternoon and into the evening.

Meanwhile, in an elimination game, New Munich fell in 11 innings 8-7 to Norway Lake-Sunburg to end their bid for a state tournament berth, last achieved for the Silverstreaks in 2005.

The Saints face Norway Lake-Sunburg in the Region 15C elimination final on Sunday at High Noon. With a win, the Saints would face St.Martin in the Region 15C championship game, with both teams advancing to the state tournament next weekend.

A video clip of the Spring Hill crew finishes up preparing the field for the New Munich/Norway Lake-Sunburg matchup, after steady rain created puddles in the outer edges of the infield.
