A little info on the Carlos Cougars, first-round opponent for the Elrosa Saints at State this Sunday

The Carlos Cougars (24-1 overall) will be led by Joe Snaza, who hit .750 over the last four games of the Region 14C tournament. He finished the region tournament 12-for-16 with 13 runs scored and nine RBIs. He wrapped up the tournament with a 5-for-5, five run, four RBI game on Sunday against Bertha in the Region 14C championship game.

The Class C champion will be crowned on September 7 in Gaylord with an 11 a.m. game scheduled and a 1:30 p.m. second game if necessary.
