Stearns County League Legion championship game: Lake Henry 7, Regal 1 - Lakers extend streak to three in a row as Legion champs

The Regal Eagles Legion baseball team and coaches, with their SCL runner-up playoff trophy.

In front of a crowd of over 100 fans at Buddy Beier Field in Regal, Deja'Vu played out once again in the Stearns County League Legion championship, as the visiting Lake Henry Lakers defeated Regal for the third straight season. This time the score was 7-1.

Eagles' pitcher Josh Beier pitched a heckuva game against a powerful-hitting Lake Henry team. His counterpart from Lake Henry, Nathan Nietfeld, proved as tough as his reputation, though, holding the Regal team to one hit in the game.

A full story on the game will appear in the August 26th issue of the Belgrade Observer. Photos from the game will be posted later on Tuesday.

A full album of over 90 pictures from the game will be added to the Sauk Herald online photo gallery. The URL is: Sauk Centre Herald- saukherald.mycapture.com

Photos from Elrosa's Harvest Festival as well as the Region 15C baseball tournament over the weekend have also been added to the online gallery. It's a work on progress, as more will be posted later this week.
