Jaguars Volleyball earns a four-peat - earns 2009 Central Minnesota Conference championship

It took four games, but the Jaguars were able to overcome a strong effort by the visiting Kimball Area Cubs (17-6, 4-2 CMC) to earn the conference title outright.


Game scores were 25-23, 25-17, 22-25, 25-15.

The Jaguars improve to 22-5 overall, with two matches left in the regular season, next week Monday and Thursday against Osakis and Holdingford.

Osakis won the Prairie Conference title on Tuesday night with a 3-1 win over visiting Upsala. The Silverstreaks (15-7-3 overall) went 9-1 in the Prairie, while Upsala (18-4 overall) finishes 8-2 in the league. It is the third straight conference title for Osakis in volleyball. Upsala was Prairie Champions in 2006, going 10-0 in the league that year.
