Jaguars Boys Basketball wins season opener with a 70-53 thrashing of A-C-GC

The Jaguars boys basketball team avenged one of their few regular season losses last year with a convincing 70-53 beating of Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City. The game was the opening matchup of the Fourth Annual Tip-Off Classic, held at Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg high school.

Junior standout forward Kevin Kuefler led the offensive charge for the Jaguars, netting 13 of his 20 points in the second half. After leading 33-30 at halftime, the Jaguars outscored the Falcons 37-23 in the second half to run away with the game.

UP NEXT for the Jaguars boys: Glenwood City (Wisconsin) at 3:00pm today (Sat) at the K-M-S High School in the championship of the Tip-Off Classic. The Jaguars have never won this event in its three years, so it's a huge chance for this year's team to gain some extra early-season momentum.

The Jaguars girls basketball team fell to MACCRAY 49-42, just a few miles to the west of K-M-S, in the FibroMinn girls basketball invitational at Benson High School.
