Jaguars Wrestling has outstanding showing on the home mats in their own invitational, fourth place finish with Tensen and Winter both winning titles

The Jaguars Wrestling team had its strongest showing in years at the Jaguar Invitational on Friday night, finishing with 127 points to take fourth behind third-place Ottertail Central's 138 points. I believe they haven't placed that high in a home invitational since the 2001-2002 season.

Seniors Cole Tensen (145 pounds) and Travis Winter (152 pounds) each won individual championships to lead the Jaguars. Winter is ranked #2 in the most recent Guillotine ranking in the 160-pound division; his record this year stands at 15-0.

Team results from the Jaguar Invitational:
(1) Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City 241 (2) Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg 202 (3) Otter Tail Central 138 (4) B-B-E 127 (5) Becker 91.5 (6) Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted 83 (7) Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 53 (8) MACCRAY 40

Note: K-M-S was ranked #4 in the latest Class A team rankings, while A-C-GC was ranked #5.
