This will shake things up, Eden Valley-Watkins head football coach Ray Tri retires

Coach Tri has led the Eden Valley-Watkins Eagles to the top of the Central Minnesota Conference for the past four seasons.

He’s retiring after 26 years as the Eagles’ head coach, compiling a 161-101 record, seven section championships, a state runner-up in 2004, and a state championship in 2005.

The Eagles first advanced to the State Tournament after winning Section 5AA in 1997. That year, they defeated the B-B-E Jaguars 14-12 in the section title game, held in Eden Valley.
