Jaguars Wrestling loses playoff opener to Browerville/Eagle Valley

Senior Cole Tensen won by fall in 1:01 during the Jaguars' 49-22 play-in round loss of the Section 5A tournament. He'll take a 33-3 record into the individual section tournament, coming February 26-27 at Sauk Centre high school.

The Jaguars wrestling team lost in the play-in round of Section 5A to #8-seeded Browerville/Eagle Valley tonight by a 49-22 score.

In the Section 5A quarterfinals, the Broncos fell to top-seeded A-C-GC by a 60-16 score.

In the other brackets of Section 5A:
#5 seed Osakis crushed last-seed (#12) Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 70-12. The Silverstreaks were then blasted by #4-seed Kimball Area 51-18.

#6 Minnewaska forfeited their match against #11 Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted. HL-W-W was then crushed by #3 seed Eden Valley-Watkins 55-13.

#7 Holdingford beat up #10 Sauk Centre 47-21. In the quarterfinals, the Huskers were defeated by #2 Paynesville 37-19.
