Jaguars' boys golf team endures cold, windy conditions at Benson Invitational

The Jaguars' boys golf team placed 12th out of 19 teams at the Benson invitational on Saturday with a score of 379. Temperatures during the meet were in the low 50s, with a strong wind flaring up to 25mph at times.


Seniors Corey Tonn and Matt Goodwin both led the Jaguars with scores of 92.

Benson/K-M-S sophomore Sam Peterson was medalist with a 75 (three over par).

On Friday at the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Invite, the Jaguars' boys golf team took 5th out of 9 teams with a 372. Corey Tonn shot an 84 to finish third individually. As a team, the Jaguars defeated CMC rivals Kimball and Osakis.

Pierz junior Brandon Meyer was medalist with a 79. He led the Pioneers to second place overall.
