Jaguar wrestlers go 1-1 at Osakis Triangular
The Jaguars wrestling team picked up a big win over United North Central 48-25 to earn their fourth team win of the season.
In the first dual of the triangular, Osakis beat UNC 39-36. UNC is a pairing of Sebeka and Menagha which also takes place in football.
In the nightcap, the Jaguars built an 18-point lead at 33-15 heading into the final three weight classes against Osakis. The Silverstreaks earned a third period pin at 189 and then won two pins at 215 and 285 to force a 33-33 tie.
Osakis won on criteria, whereby they scored the first points in 8 matches and B-B-E scored the first points in 6 matches. I'm not sure how far down on the tiebreaker criteria that is, but I know it isn't near the top of the list.
Today, the Jaguars will compete at the Paynesville Area Tournament beginning at 4:00pm.
