My predictions on the Sub-Section 6A-South girls basketball seedings

The top five seeds have a first-round bye and begin playoffs with a quarterfinal game on March 3.

The actual rankings should be released later this afternoon. Check back tonight to see how the playoff picture appears for the Jaguars girls basketball team.

In a nutshell, I am on pins and needles while waiting for these seedings!

Sidebar: in all the hoopla over the basketball teams, I would be remiss if I failed to mention the upcoming Section 5A individual wrestling tournament this weekend at Minnewaska Area High School. The Jaguars wrestling team has a great lineup who will do battle against some of the best wrestlers in Minnesota. The action begins at 3:00pm on Friday at MAHS west of Glenwood and continues the next day. The Jaguars have a good shot at sending at least two if not three wrestlers to the state tournament.

By late Saturday night, I will have results posted here on who did make the cut for the Jaguars and earned a state berth. I hope many of you can make the trip out to the Glenwood area and cheer on the Jaguars in what is some of the most exciting high school sports action of the entire year - section individual wrestling.
