Did you know?

The Jaguars boys basketball team now has three conference championships to go with four conference runner-up performances in 1991, 1997, 2002, and 2003. Their head coach, Dave Montbriand, began his head coaching career in boys basketball with that first conference runner-up squad. In 1990-1991, the Jaguars had a three-game lead in the West Central South Conference before dropping their final three league games. In 1997, a homer referee job in Morris cost them a share of the WCCS, in a physical game where they were limited to two free throws overall. In 2002, the Jaguars were heartbroken when they lost on a last-second shot at Pierz and finished one game out of first place in the Central Minnesota Conference.

Snakebitten no more, the Jaguars are on a special run that will hopefully bring some playoff hardware to the high school trophy case to go with the CMC title trophy.

The exciting ride continues tomorrow night (Tues. Feb. 22) with a home game against Wheaton/Herman-Norcross. It will be Parents' Night for the team's families.
