Jaguar wrestlers score biggest playoff win in school history - Jaguar girls basketball picks up non-conference win vs. Osakis

Final score tonight against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle in the opening round of the Section 5A tournament: B-B-E 69, LP-GE 9.

The Jaguars (10-14) take on 3rd-seeded Holdingford in the final match tonight.

Update at 9:37pm...the Jaguars lost their bid for a Section Final Four berth, as the Huskers knocked them out of the playoffs tonight by a final score of 46-24. B-B-E finishes the team competition of the season with a dual meet record of 10-15. It's their best mark since 2005-2006, when they had a handful of very good seniors and went 11-15. This year, they finished out with one senior in the starting varsity lineup, Adam Gregory. The other 13 are all underclassmen.

Recording wins for the Jaguars against Holdingford were Ross Rath (112), Patrick Rooney (160), Eric Swenson (171), Dillon Knutson (189), and Brandon Roering (215).

In home action tonight, the Jaguars girls basketball team opened up a 10-3 lead in the early stages of their non-conference match up with Osakis.

Update at 8:56pm...the Jaguar girls hold a 38-21 lead with 11 minutes remaining in the game.

The Jaguar girls won 54-37, improving to 9-12 overall while picking up their third win in a row.

They have a very tough test coming on Thursday night, when Pierz comes to town.
