Playoff girls basketball updates

Halftime at Morris tonight: Parkers Prairie 17, Hancock 16. The Owls hit a rebound shot with :01 left to bring the one point margin.

Final - Hancock 40, Parkers Prairie 37. The Owls will face Ada-Borup in the Section 6A championship game on Friday night in Moorhead, MN. Ada-Borup (25-2) defeated Barnesville 53-44 in the north championship. Barnesville finishes the season 19-10 overall.

At St.John's University... the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters lead New London-Spicer 27-24 with just under 16 minutes left in the second half.

Final - Sauk Centre 53, NL-S 47. The Streeters (28-1) advance to face Staples-Motley in a rematch of last year's Section 6AA championship.

Sub-Section 5AA-North championship: Eden Valley-Watkins 41, Maple Lake 30. EV-W takes a 17-11 record into the 5AA championship game, where they will face Providence Academy (24-4) on Friday at SCSU. (Great, another private school challenging for a state tournament berth)

Sub-Section 5A-West championship: #3 seed Sebeka 58, #1 seed Upsala 55. A tough ending to a sparkling season for the Upsala Cardinals.
