Southwest Minnesota Volleyball Challenge update...Jaguars begin Saturday's action with a win
The Jaguars volleyball team defeated a very tough West Fargo team in their opening match of today at the Southwest Minnesota Challenge in Marshall.
The Jaguars (5-1) play again at 1:15 against Class AAA Chaska and then finish the tournament with a 3:45 match against an opponent to be determined.
**Update...the Jaguars lost 2-0 to Chaska.
**Exciting news...the Jaguars defeated Class AAA Burnsville 2-0 in the final match of the day. They finished 19th out of the 32 teams in the field and improve to 6-2 overall, a record identical to what they had exactly one year ago.
(Don't look now, though, but Maple Lake is 10-0 and gaining steam...)
Up next: a trip to neighboring rival New London-Spicer on Monday for a non-conference match against the Wildcats, who are 1-2 overall.
