Great news for girls' basketball athletes across west central Minnesota - West Central Wildcats AAU is formed

The West Central Wildcat AAU Organization is holding tryouts at 5:30pm on Sunday, March 18 at the University of Minnesota-Morris Physical Education Center in Morris. The organization is hoping to start four AAU basketball teams, eighth grade, ninth grade, tenth grade and eleventh grade.

“We are pleased to announce that we are a new AAU program that will start in the summer of 2012,” said Coach Jodi Holleman, long time head coach of the Hancock girls' basketball team. “Our goal is to work with girls basketball players in West Central Minnesota to develop the fundamental skills and teaching elements of the game to young student-athletes, helping to bring their game to the next level.”

Bree Holleman, Emily Mehr and Jenni Noordmans will all join Coach Holleman on the coaching staff.

The cost is $350 and includes 4 tournaments and 7 practices. Contact Jodi Holleman for more information after 5:00pm at (320) 392-5162, or e-mail hollemjk@morris.umn.edu. More information concerning the program can be found at www.westcentralwildcatbasketball.com.
