Jaguars and Mainstreeters are in a dog fight on the tennis courts

Senior Chala Hoppe battled to a three-set win at three singles against Sauk Centre tonight. She won the first set 6-2, lost the second 6-4 and then won the third and deciding set 6-3 after it was tied 3-3!

With five matches in the book, the B-B-E Jaguars are clinging to a 3-2 lead in the non-conference girls' tennis match.

A quick update at 6pm...the Jaguars have defeated the second-best team in Section 6A! The two doubles team of Mackenzie Winter and Morgan Pastian came back after a first set loss to win their match and clinch the fourth team point.

Update: the final score was B-B-E 5, Sauk Centre 2. The Jaguars improve to 7-10 overall; the Mainstreeters are 14-4 overall and 5-1 in the West Central Conference.

Up next: a tough Section 5A match up on the home courts against MACCRAY/Renville County West tomorrow beginning at 4:15pm. No rest for the restless! The Jaguars can move up the section standings with a win over the Wolverines.

*Also, don't miss out on the home volleyball match tomorrow! The Jaguars host New London-Spicer in a border battle. The Wildcats are 1-4 (8th out of 11) in the Wright County Conference and 6-8 overall.
