Volleyball and girls' tennis is tonight!

The B-B-E girls' tennis team opens up Prairie Conference action with a home match against New York Mills tonight beginning at 4:45 p.m. At Kimball Area, the Jaguars volleyball team begins Central Minnesota Conference play. JV and C-squad action begins at 5:45 p.m., with the varsity to follow at approximately 7:15.
I got squeezed for internet time on Tuesday and Wednesday this week with the start of the school year, so I didn't get an update on the Jaguars girls' tennis team. They hosted New London-Spicer on Tuesday and played competitively against the always-tough Wildcats in a 5-2 loss. They are 2-5 overall heading into tonight's match.

A side note, B-B-E's football team has 55 young men on the roster, with 11 of them being seniors. Over at Minnewaska, they've got only 5 seniors on the roster. Ouch. Their top three grades (10-12) provide 23 athletes for their varsity football roster, which is bolstered by 16 freshmen.

B-B-E has 16 freshmen on the football team's varsity roster, with 39 sophomores, juniors and seniors.

...and while I'm at it, check this out in case you can't make the trip to Kimball for the football game...some excitement in Elrosa!
