Eva Lamprecht won her opening-round match at the Section 5A individual tournament at St. John's University earlier today.

In the Section 6A Final Four round, top-seeded and undefeated Osakis beat Minnewaska Area 6-1, while Melrose Area dispatched Sauk Centre by an identical score. The Silverstreaks then defeated the Dutchmen in the section championship to advance to the Class A state tournament for the second year in a row.

**Update from Pierz: the JV Jaguars volleyball team defeated the Pioneers 2-1. The pre-match report is underway by D-Mac, and the varsity match should start at about 7:20pm.
