Jaguar girls' basketball team's late rally not enough against Rockford, Wrestlers drop CMC match at Holdingford

A scene from early in the first half, with Taylor Braegelman (15) passing to Peyton Miller. The Rockets played a solid first half defensively and limited B-B-E's open looks at the basket. Braegelman had a fine game tonight with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals to lead the Jaguars in scoring. Seven B-B-E players scored in the game.

*Final score in a Central Minnesota Conference girls' basketball game: Rockford Area 56, B-B-E 47. The Jaguars outscored the Rockets 15-4 in the final 8 minutes of the game after trailing 52-32 in the middle of the second half. Rockford Area improved to 8-10 overall and 4-4 in the CMC; this is their third win in a row overall and also their third win in a row by single digits in the conference. Up next: a home game on Friday night against Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (7-9, 5-4 West Central South Conf.)

Old photos by now but I haven't posted this link yet...here's the photo album from the girls' basketball team's loss to Kimball Area: http://saukherald.mycapture.com/mycapture/folder.asp?event=1599703&CategoryID=69413&ListSubAlbums=0  It may be awhile before I get tonight's album uploaded.

Good grief. I took 286 photos tonight. That's the most photos I've ever taken at a girls' basketball game...ever. More will follow in the morning.

At Holdingford, the Jaguars wrestling team fell to 6-2 overall with a 39-26 loss at Holdingford. Austin Jaeger recorded a pin at 138 pounds in only 63 seconds. The Jaguars are at Browerville on Friday night for a dual meet round-robin style tournament.

*Don't forget: the Jaguars boys' basketball team hosts Holdingford on Friday night. The Dazzlers dance team will perform at halftime.
