B-B-E 8th grade football and volleyball teams looking sharp

An outstanding crew of athletes is coming up in the high school ranks at B-B-E. The A-squad for the B-B-E 8th grade volleyball team is undefeated, while the 8th grade football team is currently 2-0.

It was noteworthy when Coach Evenson ("Evy") told his football team after they improved to 2-0 that "It's a long season. You've got a lot more games ahead of you. Don't think that you're just going to win every one of them by showing up on the field. Winning takes focus, it takes a good effort every night, it takes teamwork."

It's special to see two former great varsity-level coaches giving their guidance in the junior high-level at B-B-E. We have Evy for football, and on the volleyball side, we have Coach Donna Hurst with the 7th graders.

Coach Hurst was an extremely successful varsity head volleyball coach for the Brooten Buccaneers from 1978 to 1987, and then she coached the first two B-B-E Jaguars volleyball teams from 1988-1990.
