The first Associated Press state polls for Minnesota high school football, released today, September 11, 2013.

2 Dawson-Boyd (2-0)
3 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (2-0)
4 Sleepy Eye Saint Mary's (2-0)
5 St. Clair (2-0)
6 Springfield (2-0)
7 Barnum (2-0)
8 Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (2-0)
9 Adrian (2-0)
10 Blooming Prairie (2-0)
Others receiving votes: Upsala/Swanville, Rushford-Peterson, Bethlehem Academy, Mayer Lutheran, Royalton, Wabasso, Lake Park-Audubon, Braham.

This is the first time since 1988 that the Jaguars have cracked the Top-10 in the state polls. B-B-E was ranked in the Top-10 of Class "B" under the old 5-class system during the first week of the season in 1988 after winning the season opener 34-18 against Bertha-Hewitt, but they fell out after losing 26-0 at Browerville in Week 2 and never returned until today, 25 years later.

Two other Section 4A teams are ranked: Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City is at #3 and Mayer Lutheran is ranked 14th.

In the Class AA poll, Holdingford is ranked 5th and Maple Lake is 10th.
