Girls' basketball up at halftime

At Kimball Area, the Jaguars girls' basketball team has a 28-22 lead at halftime.

With under 9 minutes to go in the game, the Jaguars are up 43-34. **Update: with just 78 seconds left, the Jaguars had a nine-point lead. Final: B-B-E 65, Kimball Area 54. The Jaguars are 8-6 overall and 3-4 in the month of January. In the Central Minnesota Conference, they hold a 3-4 record. The Cubs are 3-10 overall and 0-6 in the CMC.

Four Jaguars scored in double figures tonight for the second time this season. That's a great trend to see! The first time that happened this season was in the Ortonville win a week ago. Now the Jaguars have a short night to rest up for a big Section 5A match up with Browerville at the high school at 3:30 tomorrow afternoon. The JV Jaguars play at 2:00pm (boys/girls at the same time).

At the Browerville dual tournament, the Jaguars wrestling team (4-10, 1-4 CMC) defeated the host Tigers 48-18 but fell to West Central Area 50-17 and Border West 42-30. Their next action is at Upsala high school to face Royalton/Upsala in a non-conference dual next Thursday, January 30. The following night they host Rockford Area in a match that will be aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM; that completes the CMC schedule with two other events left before playoffs.

**Good luck to the B-B-E Dazzlers dance team in their trip to Canby high school for the Camden Conference dance championships on Saturday. It's the 3rd year they'll compete in a conference tournament, and they're looking to build on last year's 4th-place showing (out of 8 teams).

Also, both radio stations will carry tomorrow's basketball doubleheader. I hope we get a huge crowd of fans to cheer on both our varsity teams to some big wins!
