Jaguars light up Browerville

The Jaguars boys' basketball team improved to 16-1 this season with a convincing 87-61 win over the Browerville Tigers. They raced out to a commanding 30-10 lead with 6:32 left in the first half. The Tigers, a very solid, capable, well-coached team that will do damage in Sub-Section 5A-North, made a small run and closed the gap to a 34-22 hole with 2 minutes to go. The Jaguars finished the half strong starting with two free throws by James Kuefler and then an exciting slam dunk Kuefler as he blew past two defenders on the right baseline. He then dropped in a rebound put back with 0.5 seconds on the clock to put his team up 40-22 at the break.

The Jaguars host Ashby on Monday, assuming Ashby has school that day. The Arrows are 8-8 overall and 3-5 (5th) in the Little Eight Conference. **The B-B-E Dazzlers will perform at halftime of the home boys' basketball games on Tuesday and Thursday nights this upcoming week.

The B-squad Jaguar boys beat Browerville 42-39.

While it's too far away that anyone should think about it or have concern about it, the buzz for the playoffs has already started not only locally but across central Minnesota. A question regarding the sites for the Sub-Section 5A-South playoffs has this answer from me: I am not 100% sure on the semifinal site, but the quarterfinal game (opening round for B-B-E) will be a home game and the sub-section championship will be played at Pierz.
