Disappointed

I am somewhat disappointed in the fan turnout for last night's wrestling meet. As I said before it was our last chance to cheer for our wrestlers and show support for their efforts.

We can do better than that in Jaguar Country.

Most of you know the trials and tribulations this program endured with the loss of Coach Vos right before the 2012-13 season began. Then graduation took 8 very talented seniors, leaving just 4 returning starters for the 2013-14 season. You never heard an ounce of complaints or excuses around this team, however. Instead the players and coaches accepted the challenges of this season and competed with a great deal of heart and Jaguar pride. They deserved better support.

If you didn't get to one of their meets or one of their two home tournaments, you cheated yourself.

The future is very bright, with the elementary wrestlers having a terrific season so far. The school will need more trophy case room for all their hardware. It's a good problem to have.
