Random notes from today

At Moorhead Albany's girls' basketball team trails Fergus Falls 41-25 in the Section 8AAA finals. *Final: Fergus Falls 80, Albany 53.

Sauk Centre lost to NLS 84-81 in overtime in the Section 6AA girls' basketball championship at SCSU. The Mainstreeters had a girl at the line with almost no time left in regulation. She made a free throw to tie it but then missed the second one that would've sent them to the state tournament. Central Minnesota Conference champion Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted beat Annandale 53-49 in the Section 5AA championship at SCSU.
