Baseball splits with EV-W
In game one of today's Central Minnesota Conference doubleheader in Elrosa, the Jaguars baseball team beat Eden Valley-Watkins 5-4 for their second win in a row. In the nightcap they fell 7-4 to the Eagles to slip to 4-10 on the season. Up next is a home doubleheader on Thursday against Kimball Area. Both today's games and Thursday's games are Section 5A contests, so getting two wins over the Cubs would help greatly in the sub-section seeding that takes place next week.
Peyton Miller's 46 and Jaden Gossen's 51 led the Jaguars girls' golf team to a third-place finish at today's Central Minnesota Conference meet at Albion Ridges in rural Annandale. The meet, won by Osakis's score of 168, was hosted by Maple Lake. One CMC meet remains on the schedule, and it will take place next Thursday at Kimball.
No word yet on the track and field teams competing in the CMC championships at Maple Lake.
