Section 5A long jump champion Kinlee Swanson landing in the sand pit during one of her final jumps today.

It was a terrific day to be outside all afternoon at Clemens Stadium in Collegeville for the 2014 Section 5A track and field championships.

Kinlee Swanson, the section long jump champion (16-07.25), also competed in the 100 open and placed 10th in the preliminaries with a time of 13.74 seconds. Hailey Braegelman placed 14th in the 1600 run with a time of 6:08.28. In the pole vault, Alex Schramel took 9th in his final action as a Jaguar student-athlete. His best effort today was good for 11 feet, one inch, which was a new personal record for him.
