Fall school board elections

Six people filed for four positions on the B-B-E school board during the filing period that ended on Tuesday this week. The school board elections will be held on General Election Day, November 4.

The six who filed include incumbents Paul Gregory, Scott Voss, Brian Knight and Ginny Borgerding. Two newcomers who filed are Nicole Szczesniak and Pat Thieschafer.

Tough news at Renville County West school, where voters defeated a bond referendum that would have raised $4.9 million to add onto the existing K-12 school building in Renville and make other much-needed improvements to their school facility. The vote was 484 "no" to 400 "yes".
