Jaguars put up a fight!
What a fight they put up! Although it was a loss, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team gave all they had tonight in the second game in two nights. In the end, the host Melrose Area Dutchmen won 63-53 to improve to 20-2 on the season. Austin Trustheim led the Jaguars with 16 points and had 12 of them in the book by halftime.
It was a crazy close game considering the differences in records of both teams. At halftime, B-B-E had a 30-28 lead. With 3:45 remaining in the game, the Jaguars were down by just three points. Next is a conference game at Eden Valley-Watkins next Tuesday.
I just peeked at the Guillotine wrestling state rankings. The B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team has three wrestlers ranked in the top 10 of their respective weight classes: Josey Tensen (120), Colby Schramel (145) and Ben Feuerhake (285). That's pretty dang cool!!! Good job! Nice to see hard work paying off and getting some recognition like that. Click on the following link to read about the upcoming section playoffs:
