Volleyball vs. the Irish
Number one-ranked (Class 2A) Maple Lake won 3-1 tonight over the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team in their third Central Minnesota Conference match of the season. The home crowd was revved up just like the Jaguars were, and the B-B-E pep band did an awesome job for their 2016-17 season debut. Game scores were 19-25, 14-25, 26-24, 23-25.
The Irish improve to 17-1 overall and 3-0 in the CMC. No doubt about it, they are a machine and have taken apart most of their opponents so far. For example, in the CMC opener, they won at Pierz 25-9, 25-12, 25-17. Head coach Marty Kiebel has one of his best teams ever this year, and they are one of the top contenders to win the Section 6AA title. So far, 15 of their 16 wins have been by sweep.
