Wrestlers take third place

At the home invitational tonight, the B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team finished in third place out of seven teams. Taking first was Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Browerville, who tallied 199 points. In second place was Minneota with 189.5 points. The Jaguars had 172 points, while Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg was fourth with 137.5 points. The bottom three teams were Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City in fifth with 114 points, Becker in sixth with 97.5 points and Albany in seventh with 95 points.

A huge shout out to sophomore Canon Swanson, as he earned his 100th career win during the semifinals at 120 pounds tonight. He won that match by a 9-1 decision and then took the title with a 6-3 win by decision in the finals.

The Jaguars had 13 placewinners: Walker Bents took sixth at 106; Blaine Fishcer took third at 113, Canon Swanson took first at 120, Tyler Jensen took fourth at 126, Dylan Kampsen took second at 132, Tyler Bents took first at 138, Taiton Linder took fourth at 145, Adam Jaeger took first at 152, Isaiah Gilbert took second at 160, Mark Jenniges took sixth at 170, Trevor Kern took fifth at 182, Thaniel Cebulla took fifth at 195 and Seth Roering took fourth at 220.

At Sauk Centre tonight, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team lost 66-39. They trailed 38-16 at halftime.

The B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team lost at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted by a 54-48 score tonight in a Central Minnesota Conference game. The Jaguars trailed 22-16 at halftime.
