Legion baseball, home game!
The B-B-E Legion baseball team, sponsored by the Brooten American Legion Post No. 288, will host an elimination playoff game in the Northeast Sub-State tournament. The game will be on Tuesday, July 30 at the Elrosa diamond at 6 p.m., and their opponent will be No. 7-seeded New London-Spicer.
B-B-E is the No. 4 seed in the eight-team bracket.
If the Jaguars win tomorrow night, they'll play in another elimination bracket game on Friday, August 2 at Minnewaska Area's stadium at 5 p.m. Their opponent will be the winner of No. 3 Benson vs. No. 5 Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City, who square off on July 30 in Benson.
A win in that 5 p.m. game gets them a second game that night that would start at approximately 7 p.m. The opponent in that game will be the loser of No 1. Starbuck vs. No. 2 Morris, a game that also takes place tomorrow night.
