Game day on the gridiron

Today is game day on the artificial turf gridiron for the B-B-E Jaguars football team! They face Upsala/Swanville Area (1-1) at the artificial turf stadium of Alexandria Area high school. The school is located about a mile east of Menards on the south side of town.

The game will be live streamed via the efforts of the Swanville high school broadcasting team. The link is as follows: https://youtu.be/OzyXw4IvtAs. Kickoff is at 2 p.m., and this is also considered a Homecoming game for either Swanville or Upsala high school.

Game updates will follow to the best of my abilities from Alexandria, where I'll attempt to cover the game in person.

*Halftime score: USA 14, B-B-E 0.

The Patriots scored with 7:02 left in the first quarter on a 42-yard touchdown reception. The extra-point attempt failed. The second touchdown came soon after that with four minutes to go in the first quarter on a 47-yard touchdown reception. The two-point run was successful.

B-B-E played excellent ball from that point on to go into halftime down by the two-score margin.

I don't think I'll get updates up in the second half. I'm using my phone as a note-taker with the Artificial Intelligence feature (voice-to-text) on my e-mail...that, plus taking a random photo or two with my phone, is the limit my battery can handle.

*Final score: USA 20, B-B-E 14. It was a great game!! For the fans who were able to stay for the full game, they watched a great game play out. 

On a side note, by the time the game was over, it was about 26 degrees at the stadium.

The next game will be back at the same location in Alexandria on Saturday October 31. The opponent will be Parkers Prairie. Both JV and varsity games will be played there, although I don't have times yet.
