It's the third straight day of major playoff action for the varsity sports of the B-B-E Jaguars athletic program. Today it's all about baseball and track and field!
The No. 3-seeded B-B-E Jaguars baseball team continues their journey in the playoffs when they travel to Clinton, Minnesota, today (Thursday) for a 2:30 p.m. semifinal game. Their opponent will be No. 2-seeded Upsala/Swanville Area, who the Jaguars lost to by a 1-0 score on May 20 in Elrosa.
In the other side of the bracket, No. 1-seeded Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg takes on No. 4-seeded Border West at 2:30 p.m. in Ortonville. Border West ended Hancock's season with a 5-2 quarterfinal win yesterday. The Fighting Saints had a first-round bye. If the Jaguars beat the Patriots, they head south to Ortonville for a 4:30 p.m. game tomorrow in the winner's bracket to face the winner of the K-M-S/Border West game. If the Jaguars lose to the Patriots, they stay in Clinton and play again at 4:30 p.m. in the elimination bracket.
The next round after tomorrow is on June 8 with locations and opponents to be determined.
And if that wasn't enough!
At Wheaton Area high school today, the B-B-E Jaguars track and field teams competes at the Sub-Section 6A-1 championships. The action begins at 4 p.m. with field events.
I've got more to post, but I may not get it written until tonight. It's time to prepare for the trip to Clinton and Wheaton!
