Home dance meet (VIDEO)

The B-B-E/Paynesville Pirouettes dance team hosted a six-team competition last night. They appeared in top form for both jazz and kick divisions. The team has a wide range of experienced, veteran dance team student-athletes and junior high-age members. I was thoroughly impressed by both squads!

Here's the team lined up for the National Anthem last night:

Don't forget to stop by the Bonanza Valley State Bank today! Their big event was advertised on page 5 of the December 9 and December 16 Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper issues.

And!! Tomorrow! It's the big day in Brooten! Santa Claus is coming to town...that was on page 8 this week, where the full-size poster was published. You can read more here at the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper website: https://bit.ly/3F6L8Za.

Subsection Finals! Tonight! (Radio) and updates

Tonight's the night! The B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team takes on a very talented, experienced Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Warriors team for the Sub-Section 6A-South title. B-B-E is 22-7, while the Warriors are 19-9. Both teams were regular season conference champions.

Tonight's match will be broadcast on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood. Thanks, Brady!!!

Here's a short video clip taken at last night's volleyball practice:

The Jaguars are highly motivated to continue their march deep into the playoffs!

**And here's a video clip from the third quarter of last Saturday's football playoff game, with the Jaguars taking a 34-0 lead over Browerville:

MATCH UPDATES:
I'll get updates posted here after 7:30 p.m.

**In the North subsection final, the Hornets won the first set 25 to 17. They were in control for most of the game.

The second set was one for the ages, and the Cowgirls won 34-32 after trailing by three at 23-20 earlier in the set. So this first match will go at least four games at Fergus Falls high school.

*Game three updates in the North final: the Hornets shot out to a 5-0 lead. Breckenridge clawed back into it, and it's now tied at 12-12.
*And Henning has a 22-20 lead late in game 3. **Final score: Henning 25, Breckenridge 21. The Hornets go up 2 to 1 in sets. The clock said 19:28 when that 3rd set was over. So it's going to be awhile before our South teams take the court.

GAME FOUR: Breckenridge started out with a 5-0 lead, and they were in control for basically the whole set, and they won 25 to 18.

**Breckenridge won game five 15-5 and was never really threatened down the stretch. They advance to Saturday night's Section 6A championship match. That starts at 7 p.m. here in Fergus Falls.

****The B-B-E vs. W/H-N match won't get started until at least 8:45 p.m.

Our match started at 8:46 p.m.

GAME ONE: BBE 25, WHN 6. Yes, that's correct.

GAME TWO: the Jaguars have a 16-6 lead. The Warriors got it as close as an 18-14 deficit, but the Jaguars turned it on and won 25 to 17.

GAME THREE: the Jaguars have a 16-10 lead.

Final score: BBE 25, WHN 21. The Jaguars advance to Saturday!!! It's time to set up Command Central at the hotel and get to work.

THANK YOU to Bonanza Valley State Bank and Coop's Corner for sponsoring this Jaguar sports playoff update! We could not do this without the support of dozens and dozens of locally-owned businessSDes who support our Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper sports department.

A birthday party like no other

What can I say? It's a day like no other, as we celebrated a 100-year birthday party with John O. Bohmer of Brooten. The atmosphere and turnout were incredible today for his birthday party at Bonanza Valley State Bank. It is safe to say that the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper would not exist in its present form without the loyal support of BVSB. They are a regular advertiser in both the newspaper and The Voice website. This support is crucial to keep this operation going!

More to come.

Here's video from the party!

And get this on your schedule...another party! This time we celebrate a 30th anniversary of one of our local insurance agencies: Mary Olmscheid Agency of Elrosa and Sauk Centre. Click for details = https://bit.ly/3iOLU4t.

I have known Mary since I was in 7th grade at B-B-E high school. She is a dearly beloved member of our community. John and Mary Olmscheid have done so much for us, where do I begin? John served for over 20 years as gambling manager of the Elrosa Baseball Club before recently retiring. The list goes on and on...congrats Mary!

And...other news...here's more good news! Great news! This is the latest update on COVID-19 for the local zip code area of Belgrade, Brooten and Elrosa...which includes about 4,300 children and adults living in town and in the country with the zip codes 56312, 56316 and 56325. Read more here = https://bit.ly/3wCRn2n. There you can also view a video highlighting the topic of natural immunity in the U.S.

To the west in South Dakota, today they reported their first COVID-19 related death in over a week. That's right: they went over a week with no COVID-related deaths. Meanwhile, in Minnesota, those deaths are still hovering in the 4 to 9 per day range. Also, today South Dakota had just 11 new COVID-19 cases in a state of about 900,000 people. Extrapolated out in Minnesota, that would be equal on a population basis as our state having 66 new cases. What was our actual new case count today? That number is 142. Hmm? Maybe they mask up better in South Dakota??? (That's sarcasm, by the way)

And! The Elrosa Saints amateur baseball team hosts Starbuck to kick off the Elite 8 tournament this weekend. The Saints face the Stars in Elrosa on Friday (tomorrow) at 6:30 p.m. The game will be aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM of Glenwood. (Thanks, Brady!) That's not the only game tomorrow night. The 8:30 p.m. game will feature New London-Spicer against the Hastings Hawks. It will be an exciting weekend to welcome numerous teams from across Minnesota to Elrosa!

Tonight the B-B-E Jaguars 12-U baseball team hosted ROCORI at the high school sports complex. The Jaguars were down a couple solid players and lost 8-2 to the Spartans. Last week in their summer season opener, the 12-U Jaguars defeated Minnewaska Area by a 6-4 score.

And! Before this gets too outdated, here's video from Sunday, May 30 at the beach at Grove Lake Township park:

That's all for this post. Time flies when you're in the fast lane.

PLAYOFFS playoffs playoffs! Major playoff action today

It's the third straight day of major playoff action for the varsity sports of the B-B-E Jaguars athletic program. Today it's all about baseball and track and field!

The No. 3-seeded B-B-E Jaguars baseball team continues their journey in the playoffs when they travel to Clinton, Minnesota, today (Thursday) for a 2:30 p.m. semifinal game. Their opponent will be No. 2-seeded Upsala/Swanville Area, who the Jaguars lost to by a 1-0 score on May 20 in Elrosa.

In the other side of the bracket, No. 1-seeded Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg takes on No. 4-seeded Border West at 2:30 p.m. in Ortonville. Border West ended Hancock's season with a 5-2 quarterfinal win yesterday. The Fighting Saints had a first-round bye. If the Jaguars beat the Patriots, they head south to Ortonville for a 4:30 p.m. game tomorrow in the winner's bracket to face the winner of the K-M-S/Border West game. If the Jaguars lose to the Patriots, they stay in Clinton and play again at 4:30 p.m. in the elimination bracket.

The next round after tomorrow is on June 8 with locations and opponents to be determined.

And if that wasn't enough!

At Wheaton Area high school today, the B-B-E Jaguars track and field teams competes at the Sub-Section 6A-1 championships. The action begins at 4 p.m. with field events.

I've got more to post, but I may not get it written until tonight. It's time to prepare for the trip to Clinton and Wheaton!

THANK YOU to Coop's Corner of Belgrade and to Bonanza Valley State Bank of Brooten for extended support of the Bonanza Valley Voice sports department! We need it for the current playoff push!

Business updates and more for the Bonanza Valley area

At Bonanza Valley State Bank in Brooten
The bank is closing the lobby, however, ATM is still available in the entry way. Also, the drive-up window is open, and staff are in the building and able to respond to e-mails and phone calls. The lobby will remain closed until March 27, at which time this will be re-visited.

At Rustic Stables Stylists in Brooten
The hair salon in Brooten is closed through at least March 27. This is to comply with the state's executive order.

Additional local updates will be posted at this web article at the Bonanza Valley Voice website...this has been updated multiple times by noon of today (short link): https://bit.ly/2WqkUx1. This web article includes information for B-B-E schools and also local churches.

Currently, I'm listening to President Trump's address to the media on Minnesota Public Radio.

Right now, being emotionally strong and mentally tough is more important than ever. I struggle with it, and I think any honest adult will tell you the same. I found this web column very useful...titled "Want to be emotionally resilient? Science says do this" (short link) https://bit.ly/2x9dPGN.

And thank you readers and subscribers to the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper! The March 19 issue is out and about as I type this.

As of this morning, over 3,000 people in Minnesota have been tested for COVID-19. Of those tests, 89 came back with a "positive" result.

This web article was difficult to load on my office computer, but it outlines the science behind how soap is the single very best weapon against COVID-19 (short link): https://bit.ly/2U1Arlu.

MY TWO CENTS: use a soapy cloth rag for cleaning purposes, not hand sanitizer!!!!

Newspaper consolidation

Consolidation of the newspaper industry advanced in a huge way this week (short link): https://bit.ly/39aJEfZ. This is rather eye opening. This consolidation includes the Litchfield Independent Review and the Hutchinson Leader. This news is extremely unsettling and disturbing to see.

For many small town newspapers, times are tough. That is not the case everywhere, but when times get tough, the need to keep your doors open to continue serving your town outweighs your desire to continue operating as a locally-owned business. There's an obligation to keep the business alive, especially one that's been in your town for 100 or more years.

Look at these examples: the present-day Sauk Centre Herald was founded in 1880. It is still locally-owned by a group of families who live in the Sauk Centre area. The present-day Paynesville Press was founded in 1912 and is owned by the Jacobson family, who lives in Paynesville.

Meanwhile, the Hutchinson Leader was also founded in 1880, but it is now owned by Media News Group. This company was founded in 1983 and is based in Denver, Colorado. They also own the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

It's kind of crazy! Profits from the operation of Hutchinson's newspaper go to Denver, Colorado. Profits from the operation of Sauk Centre's newspaper remain in and near Sauk Centre.

Here in the Bonanza Valley, the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper is not going anywhere any time soon. Now in our 51st year of business under the third owner, the Voice was started from nothing in the fall of 1969 and - with a huge amount of sweat equity from its first two owners - developed into a strong small town newspaper. The second owner, Howard Johnson, had it for approximately 45 years and built a strong and loyal base of readers and advertisers. That strong base allowed the third owners (my family) to take risks and flex our muscle over the last five years. Most of those risks have paid off. We have extraordinarily high circulation in a town of 750 people (~1,600 readers each week).

We took a severe beating in 2019. Not gonna lie, it was ugly! But we are soldiering on with some very tremendous support by the local business community. The support in Brooten remains very, very strong - for which we are extremely blessed and grateful. We push forward!!

More to say on the topic, but now it is time to make this day productive!!! Time to conquer the day!

A really, really terrific send-off

**Just added Wednesday night...here's an iMovie from the Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper's sports department with footage from today's elementary school pep fest!

Much to do but had to get on this blogspot in quick fashion to say that the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team received a MASTERFUL and WONDERFUL send-off today as they departed for St. Paul right square in the middle of this afternoon.

**Remember: additional coverage is posted at the Bonanza Valley Voice website. It includes a web article that outlines the upcoming state tournament. https://www.bonanzavalleyvoice.com/section/sports.

More to come. This post will be updated with video later today!!!

Here's what will be at the tail end of what I hope to put together some time later today...

They are off to St. Paul!!! They make us proud in Jaguar Country!

Another video production by the Voice

Here's another iMovie production by the Bonanza Valley Voice sports department. Just like the one released yesterday morning, this one includes footage from game five of the Section 5A finals.

The video starts with Brittany Berge's kill that gave the Jaguars an early 5-3 lead. In the middle of the clip, a long volley plays out with both teams duking it out. That volley ends with a Jaguar hitting error that resulted in a 7-7 tie score. The video ends with the Jaguars just about to begin their epic comeback late in the game.

The Jaguars trailed 12-7 coming out of Coach Waddell's final timeout of the set. After WHA's' next serve, the Jaguars got a huge, huge side out with a kill by Grace Illies. I had my camera zoomed in too far at the moment and missed her kill, but you can see player reaction to the play. That made the score 12-8. The Wolves earned a kill with a shot to the back line for a 13-8 lead. In response, B-B-E again earned a huge side out. This time it was Karissa Jones with the kill, and that made it 13-9. The odds were still very, very long at that point.

...'to be continued'!

Today is Pep Fest and team send-off day!!! GO JAGUARS!

And the Bonanza Valley Voice can print more 12" by 18" double-sided state volleyball posters. The cost is just one dollar! You can basically get them for just the cost of printing. Send your order to: lifeinbonanzavalley@gmail.com.

This video is brought to you the proud support of the Bonanza Valley State Bank of Brooten.

Step III: Jaguars power their way to another 'Ship!!

It's another sweep for the B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team to advance in the playoffs. They won game three 25-18 to claim the Sub-Section 5A-South championship tonight over neighboring rival Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg. The spacious gymnasium at Little Falls high school was rocking, and both fan sections were vocal and proud as the match wore on.

Scores of the first two sets were 25-12 and 25-23.

As a team, the Jaguars hit at a solid 22 percent clip. They looked sharp from start to finish! Hitting, blocking, passing...all the nuts and bolts fit together and responded to everything the Fighting Saints threw their way.

IT'S A THREE-PEAT! They are now winners of three straight sub-section titles!

ON TO THE NEXT 'SHIP!!!!

B-B-E (21-7-1) plays next on Saturday night, November 2 back at Little Falls high school at 7 p.m. against Sub-Section 5A-North champion Walker-Hackensack-Akeley (24-6). That match will not be aired on Smooth Magic 107 FM.

Walker-Hackensack-Akeley was an underdog to some extent against state-ranked Pine River-Backus tonight. They came out firing on all cylinders and put the Tigers back on their heels. After a hiccup in a game three loss, WHA put the hammer down and blew PR-B away in game four. They will certainly be tough as nails on Saturday night***! For the record, game scores in the North title match were 25-11, 25-20, 18-25, 25-16.

PR-B finishes 28-4 overall. They put a young and inexperienced team on the court this year that shattered all expectations of a "rebuilding" season. That is one heck of a strong volleyball program.

Also noteworthy: the North sub-section title match included two teams who have just five seniors in total...two on PR-B's roster and three on WHA's roster. From what I am reading, WHA's setter is one of their three seniors. The other two are a back row player and an outside hitter.

For comparison, the South sub-section title match included two teams who had 11 seniors altogether.

K-M-S finishes one of their better seasons in school history with a 17-12 overall record. They graduate four seniors and two very skilled, experienced players out of their top rotation.

**Here's video taken between games two and three:

**Here's a really neat video clip from tonight...quite a feat to celebrate for B-B-E head coach Steve Waddell!

In other action tonight...
Minnewaska Area beat New London-Spicer 3-0 tonight to claim the north subsection title in Section 3AA. Smooth Magic will carry that match on Saturday night. NL-S's loss was a huge upset, as I doubt many prognosticators outside of Pope County thought the Lakers had a chance. It shows that when you're hot, you are hot! Volleyball is especially that way.

Game scores in the incredible upset were 28-26, 25-21, 25-23. The Wildcats had no business losing game one after building a 16-8 lead...but that's what happened. The Lakers fought back to tie it at 17-17 and then took a 20-19 lead. When you have a 16-8 lead in the opening set of a huge playoff match, you find another gear and put your foot on the throat of the other team!

NL-S led 4-1 early in game two but then fell behind on Minnewaska's 6-0 run that put the Lakers on top for good. The Lakers led 23-18 in game three before falling into a 23-23 tie. Minnewaska took the last two points of the match to earn their first sub-section volleyball title in a long, long time.

I don't remember the last time Minnewaska Area played in a volleyball section final. One may have to go back to the 1990s to find that on the record book.

NL-S finishes 27-3 overall. They were the No. 6-ranked team out of 126 teams in the Class 2A QRF scale. Earlier in the season at the Minnewaska Invitational, the Wildcats swept the Lakers 25-17, 25-18.

The Lakers, who were a fifth-place team in the West Central Conference with a 7-7 mark, improve to 16-10 overall and now face a tall task of dethroning Big South Conference-West champion Marshall Area (27-5) in the Section 3AA championship match. Could they do it? I think they can.

In Section 6AA, I saw that Royalton lost to top-seeded Annandale. The Cardinals won 25-15, 25-22, 25-21. They are the No. 7-ranked team in Class 2A on the QRF scale.

The Royals, ranked No. 20 on the Class 2A QRF scale, had their best season in school history with a final record of 25-4 overall. They were tri-champions in the Central Minnesota Conference after exiting the Prairie Conference last season. I believe they have three conference titles in a row to their credit.

In the other 6AA semifinal, Maple Lake (23-7) ended Sauk Centre's season with a 3-1 win. Way to represent the Central Minnesota Conference! Sauk Centre was solo champions of the West Central Conference this season. Tonight at Sauk Rapids-Rice high school, the Irish took a 2-0 lead in sets, got knocked around in game three and then won a close game four by a 25-23 score. Game scores were 26-24, 25-19, 16-25, 25-23. Sauk Centre finishes 27-3 overall with their only other two losses coming in regular season tournament play.

In the Sub-Section 3A-South finals at the R/A Facility on the SMSU-Marshall campus, Adrian ended Tracy-Milroy-Balaton's season in a 3-2 barn burner. The Dragons (28-2) won game five by a 16-14 score! T-M-B built a 2-0 lead in sets with early wins of 25-22 and 25-7 before the Dragons ran the table with wins of 25-20, 25-22 and 16-14. T-M-B finishes 20-11 overall; they went 7-4 (fifth place) in the Camden South Conference.

In the Sub-Section 3A-North finals at SMSU, Minneota thrashed Canby in a 25-7, 25-17, 25-11 sweep. The Lancers finish a strong season 23-9 overall. The defending state champion Vikings are 29-3 overall.

**Update at 19:17: Walker-Hackensack-Akeley has a two-to-one lead in sets over Pine River-Backus. They are familiar conference opponents who went the full five sets on October 15th. PR-B won that match to take the conference title outright.

In tonight's match the Tigers won game three 25 to 18 to fend off a sweep.

**Update: WHA won 3-1 to advance.

**Update: the South title match started at 20:14...

**Update: the Jaguars won game one 25-12.

**Update: the Jaguars have a 16 to 11 lead in game two.

*Update: the Jaguars won game two 25-23. KMS rallied to close the gap to 24-23.

**Update: the Jaguars have a 22 to 15 lead in game 3.

**The outcome will be posted in a new post.

Passionate support

Small towns are a thing of wonder. They can be inspirational and wonderful, and they can also be terrible and shameful. With certainty I can say that, in my life, small towns are more the former than the latter.

I have a middle-aged friend whose father was once a school principal "back in the day" in a small, rural Minnesota school. This principal went to great lengths to keep school matters at school and keep them from interfering with his personal or family life. When asked about a school issue "off grounds" or "off the clock" this man took great care to be professional about how he spoke of school issues and especially about school staff. That's not always easy to do in a small town.

The same can be said about leaders of small town business leaders/owners. You go to great lengths to keep work at work and not let it interfere with your family life. I believe it's important that we allow people to conduct their business and their family life in a way that the two don't completely run over the other. You have to allow people to live - and, of course, hope that everyone is playing nicely and doing the right thing.

If you've known me for any amount of time, I hope that you can attest to the fact that I am very passionate about small towns in many ways. I'm very passionate about the ability and freedom to choose to guide my family to living in a small town. I have much pride in the fact that in a small town, you have many other families "carrying the load" of raising your children. We work hard at working together to raise our kids in a unique, collective manner.

To be sure, this can happen in any sized town or type of setting. You can band together with friends and neighbors with the daily and weekly work of raising children if you live in Roseville or Edina or Starbuck or Elbow Lake.

Earlier this week, I went into our family's main bank with one of our kids who made what I'd call a nice-sized cash deposit to her savings account. (Full disclosure: we conduct banking business in multiple, local banks) While raising the risk of showing bias or playing favorites, I have to say, the staff at Bonanza Valley State Bank are flat out amazing. They're just really amazing people. They have "been in the trenches" with me as I've tried to manage and operate and keep my newspaper business afloat over the last (almost) five years.

I know our other small town banks/credit unions have really amazing people too. I know some of them very personally as well. I don't want to type this and hurt feelings. That's not my intention.

On Monday at Bonanza Valley State Bank, they were just so extremely kind and sincere with my daughter during this small, quaint banking transaction. I was so proud of that moment, I almost started crying right in the middle of the bank lobby. She worked very diligently selling lemonade and most recently garden tomatoes to build up her little nest egg that's being kept safe at Bonanza Valley State Bank.

I am so proud of our community's Bonanza Valley State Bank. They have been there for me, and they will continue to be there for me. Thank you in so many ways. We will carry on through all that we're going through. We are strong, and we will persevere.

(VIDEO) Boys' basketball sub-section finals

Here's a Bonanza Valley Voice iMovie production featuring video clips from the final four minutes of the Sub-Section 5A-South championship game between the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team and the Hinckley-Finlayson Jaguars.

Needless to say, action was tense down the stretch!

It will rate as one of the more exciting playoff wins I've seen in 25+ years of watching B-B-E Jaguar basketball.

While I've got your attention here...this is a preview of what will be published in the upcoming Bonanza Valley Voice newspaper. I am asking for help promoting this event! The B-B-E Area Jaycees does countless wonderful activities throughout Jaguar Country. Let's show our support by sharing this link! https://bit.ly/2VZBel4 (short link to copy/paste).

THANK YOU to our business sponsors of this video coverage! Bonanza Valley State Bank as well as Glacial Ridge Health System.

Christmas open house(s)

Our local banks are busy this week! Kensington Bank, formerly North American State Bank, has their Christmas open house today in Elrosa. Tomorrow they'll have the same in Belgrade. (Their large color ads were printed on the back pages of my December 6 and December 13 issues.)

So you can thank Kensington Bank for getting color ink in these two important issues! (And Central Minnesota Seeds in the Dec. 6 issue, and Hopeful Hills Ranch in the Dec. 13 issue)

I hope to see some of you today in Elrosa. I'll be at Kensington Bank shortly after 12:30 p.m.

Also tomorrow, Bonanza Valley State Bank in Brooten has their Christmas open house. Their large advertisement was on page 7 in the December 6 issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice and on page 7 as well this week.

And! Tomorrow and Saturday! Don't miss out on Hopeful Hills Ranch's Christmas open house over the next couple of days. Their large, color ad appeared on the back page of today's issue of the Bonanza Valley Voice. For your convenience, we have posted a web article with details on their open house. Randy and Jane Fauskee, who own and operate Hopeful Hills Ranch, are very loyal and reliable supporters of the Bonanza Valley Voice as well as the Brooten business community in general. (Randy also owns and operates Fauskee Oil, Inc. in Brooten.) Anyway, here's the link to find that article at the Bonanza Valley Voice website: https://bit.ly/2zWQNRK.

The website for Hopeful Hills Ranch is: https://www.hopefulhillsranchalpacas.com.

(VIDEO) B-B-E wins section title!

My head is still pounding.

Over 24 hours have passed since the Section 5A tournament came to a close, and the thrill and excitement of what happened still really hasn't faded. Maybe it hasn't even sunk in yet? Who knows.

Here's a couple hours' worth of computer work that you can enjoy thanks to the support of Bonanza Valley State Bank of Brooten! This higher-resolution version is viewable depending on your browser; it plays in "low-def" on older browser formats.

I just received an update of information from the B-B-E school administration. Please share that a Pep Fest and send-off ceremony will be held at 11:50 a.m. on Wednesday this week at the high school! The team departs after that for St. Paul.

More to follow. I will share fan bus info. later this evening.

Have a great week, Jaguar Country!

Dairy days!

The local banks in Belgrade and Brooten are celebrating June Dairy month while honoring our area dairy farmers throughout the Bonanza Valley.

Today at North American State Bank in Belgrade, Stearns County Dairy Princesses Kayla Herkenhoff and Courtney Klaphake are serving dilly bars from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Tomorrow, Friday, June 17, NASB in Elrosa will serve dilly bars all day for their regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Fridays).

And in Brooten, Bonanza Valley State Bank will honor dairy farmers on Friday, June 17 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. while serving ice cream and milk to the public.

We are very fortunate in the Bonanza Valley to have our locally-owned banks who know firsthand how important the dairy industry is to our area.

Thank you, dairy farmers!

Local bank branches' Christmas open house information

Click on the graphic above for best viewing.

Our local banks are an extremely important part of our B-B-E community. This time of year I hope you are able to take a moment to relax in the warm atmosphere of the banks' Christmas/Holiday open house celebrations. I am hopeful to hit all four of our local locations between this week and next week!

Every day this week, North American State Bank is having a celebration in the Belgrade branch, and on Friday they will have an open house in Elrosa. (See above)

The Central Minnesota Credit Union is having a Christmas/Holiday open house on Friday, Dec. 19 at their Belgrade branch. Also that Friday (12-19-14), Bonanza Valley State Bank is having a Christmas/Holiday open house as well. Advertising for the CMCU and BVSB open houses will be posted next week.
