Postseason heats up (VIDEO)

The postseason is heating up in big ways today for the Jaguar Country fans.

We have our B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team that has reached the pinnacle of high school sports: a team state tournament under the bright lights of the Xcel Energy Center. They do battle today in the Class 1A state tournament in St. Paul. You can read more about their quarterfinal opponent, Dover-Eyota, in the most recent blog post here. B-B-E holds a 19-1 dual meet record, while Dover-Eyota is 19-8 (6-1 Three Rivers Conference).

Back at the high school, the B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team hosts their playoff opener at 7 p.m. tonight. This is the Sub-Section 5A-West quarterfinal round, and the Jaguars host No. 9-seeded Long Prairie-Grey Eagle. If the Jaguars win tonight, they advance to the semifinal round which takes place on Saturday at Wadena-Deer Creek high school with a 6 p.m. tip-off.
