Volleyball at Maple Lake
The B-B-E Jaguars volleyball team traveled to Maple Lake high school tonight to resume Central Minnesota Conference action. They are looking to stay in the race for the conference title, which means all remaining CMC matches are must-wins!
Update: after winning game one 25-20, the Jaguars slugged through a wild, record-setting game two and won 35-33. Yes!! 35 to 33!!!!!! Crazy. Just nuts. As of 8:20 p.m., game three is underway.
More to come.
UPDATE: the No. 11-ranked Jaguars settled in and won handily by a 25-15 score in game three to complete the sweep and improve to 3-1 in the CMC and 14-5 overall. They keep pace with Paynesville Area in second place. Eden Valley-Watkins entered the night with an undefeated CMC record. With tonight's loss, Maple Lake falls to 7-11 overall and 1-3 in the CMC. In spite of their sub-.500 record, the Irish are currently the No. 6-ranked team in the 16-team Section 5AA.
