HLWW wrestling invitational (UPDATES, VIDEOS*)
I won't have a better handle on the tournament until I arrive, but about one hour into the action, the B-B-E Jaguars wrestling team sits in sixth place (33 points) out of 14 teams at the Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted invitational.
Class 2A "lean and mean" Big Lake is out in front with 62 points.
More to come. Time to pack my gear!
UPDATE at 2:36 p.m.! I've been here almost an hour, and we've had some great wrestling in that amount of time! I just watched Louie Tensen come back from a 1-0 deficit in the third period (consolation bracket) to win by fall (3:29) to get himself into the 120-pound fifth-place match. Nice! I'm still getting a handle on everything here at HL-W-W. Our Jaguars have risen to second place overall as a team at last glance. They have 117.5 points behind first-place and host HL-W-W with 121.5 points.
