First varsity game is a win in Clarissa! (VIDEO)

At the former Clarissa school and former Eagle Valley elementary school this afternoon, the B-B-E Jaguars boys' basketball team defeated Browerville sixty-something to fifty-something. Earlier in the JV game held in Clarissa, the Tigers JV squad defeated our Jaguar boys by nine points.

The girls' varsity game against Browerville here in Clarissa should tip off at about 3:52 p.m.

*Update: at halftime, Jaguar girls have a 53 to 20 lead.  I had to leave at halftime so I can attend a theater event in Alexandria with my wife this evening.

Hot 44 percent field goal shooting in the first half propelled them to the big Section 5A win. They drained 8 three pointers in the first half! Brooklyn Fischer led the team with 19 points.

In wrestling news...the Jaguars (15-2) earned two wins on Friday night in Granite Falls. I'll get a new blog post added with updates on that plus more from the basketball games in Clarissa. This is a fairly busy weekend, and my Sunday will feature a trip west to the University of Minnesota-Morris, where one of my daughters will participate in a fastpitch softball game led by their Division III fastpitch coaches and players. She is excited!
