In girls' basketball news...
The B-B-E Jaguars girls' basketball team has been seeded No. 3 in the upcoming Sub-Section 5A-East tournament. The subsection quarterfinals will be held Thursday, February 29 with a 7 p.m. tip-off at B-B-E high school in Belgrade against No. 6-seeded Mille Lacs. This marks the first time that our Jaguars have been grouped in the eastern half of the Section 5A tournament. I find it completely bizarre. If the Jaguars win on Thursday, their next game (the sub-section semis) is on Saturday, March 2 at Hinckley-Finlayson high school with a 2:45 p.m. tip-off against either Braham (the No. 2 seed) or East Central (the No. 7 seed. The Hinckley-Finlayson high school is located in Hinckley.
