This is DAY FIVE of Homecoming! And it is GAME NIGHT! (VIDEOS and SPORTS show)

This is a huge, huge day in Jaguar Country! It includes history in the making! I'll get to that in my sports show that I'm soon going to record and post. I certainly hope you've made plans to attend tonight's Homecoming football game. Our B-B-E Jaguars football team hosts fellow undefeated and Gopher Gold District rival Upsala/Swanville Area. Remember! The Belgrade Commercial Club Tailgating party starts at 5:30 p.m.

The Jaguars are giving up 12 points per game and have averaged 45 points per game on offense. For their part, U/SA has scored 39.8 points per game.

First, some catching up...

The high school hosted a marvelous pep fest this afternoon that kicked off with the revamped B-B-E Pep Band performing as the student body filled the bleachers. It was heartwarming to see Mrs. Carrie Halvorson taking part in the Pep Fest and helping out as the student council advisor. She and her family continue to mourn the loss of her husband, Paul, whose funeral was held last Saturday in front of a packed house at Crow River Lutheran church. I've got more on that on page one this week! Look below to see how the pep fest concluded today...

Here's a postgame interview at A-C-GC high school with Brett DeRoo last Friday:

For the record! Today's high reached at least 82 degrees...possibly higher, although I did not see it get above 82 with my own eyes. Earlier this afternoon, the temperature in Brooten was at 82 degrees. It is WARM outside. This will be a hot evening...at least until the sun sets during the first half of the football game.

*Here's the end of today's Pep Fest:

**AND here's my seventh sports podcast of this fall...

Much to prepare for! We have the Homecoming tailgating party, the Pep Band will play and then the big game of state-ranked heavyweights takes place for Friday Night Lights V!

GAME UPDATES to follow...LET'S GO, JAGUARS!!!
...in the second quarter, the Patriots hold a 20-0 lead with 3:32 left before halftime. Jack Primus just ran back an interception for about 60 yards.

Halftime: #6 U/SA 28, #5 B-B-E 0.  It is a bloodbath.

Final score and a game recap in a NEW blog post.
