Jagtastic speech invitational (VIDEO ADDED*)

The B-B-E speech team is hosting the first-ever Jagtastic Invitational today. Approximately 87 high school speech team members from across central Minnesota are in attendance. Results will be posted on this blog post. The awards ceremony is set to begin at about 3:50 p.m. at Olson Auditorium.

In Duo Interpretation, Marlie Schlangen and Eliana Funes took sixth place. In Great Speeches, Tia Nelson took first place.

Monday night update: due to the cold weather, B-B-E schools will open 2 hours late on Tuesday, February 18. As of 8:30 p.m. on Monday night, temperatures across the Bonanza Valley area have plunged to below negative 15 degrees. The forecast says that temperatures will reach 25 below zero tonight.
